Painting Classes

For the Autumn of 2026 to Summer of 2027 I am offering a series of classes on Zoom called, ‘Beauty Of The Garden: and the artists that painted them.’ We will be exploring the gardens that artists were inspired to paint, their garden palettes and techniques, and the creatures that lived there. Starting with Beatrix Potter who included her garden extensively in her classic children’s tales, as well as George Samuel Elgood, one of the most celebrated garden painters, Victorian garden painter Helen Allingham, flower painter Francis E. Janes, Impressionist Claude Monet, Textile Designer William Morris, and more. We will be painting in a journal to create our own book, or sketchbook, or individually just enjoyed as a class. Along the way we will also be studying the art of Joris Hoefnagel, Flemish miniaturist of natural history subjects, known for his florals and insects, an addition to our Jan Van Kessel journal.

  • All classes are held on weekends

  • 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM PST on Zoom

  • Cost for each class is $50 per day

All classes are recorded & available to purchase
